Our Heritage
Pioneers are known for their ambition, for showing strength amidst challenges, and for always sustaining a clear vision of the future. We at Dunkin' Donuts® are grounded in these qualities, thanks to the pioneering strength of our brand's founder,
Bill Rosenberg.
In 1950, Rosenberg began Dunkin' Donuts in Quincy, MA with a simple philosophy: "Make and serve the freshest, most delicious coffee and donuts quickly and courteously in modern, well-merchandised restaurants."
His business principles and values were straightforward and easy to grasp:
- The customer is the boss;
- Treat everyone the way you would like to be treated;
- Share your success with those who help you achieve it;
- Build a great organization and the organization will build a great business;
- Provide outstanding value and the customers will keep coming;
- Offer more variety, fresher high quality products, cleaner restaurants, and better service and you never need to fear any competitor.
As a franchisee, you will have the opportunity to reap the benefits earned through the consistent application of these business principles in serving our millions of customers every day.
